The writer of this book experienced hundreds of encounters with the great cloud of witnesses before he first met Bob Jones in a vision. Bob visited him three times over a couple of years, and then one day, he told Matthew to sit down and type and record their conversations. He was going to call the encounters “Conversations with Bob” and produce a book, knowing that the discussions would benefit others. Suddenly, Bob changed gears and started to take him to heaven.
Before Matthew knew it, he was speaking to 11 saints in heaven along with Jesus, and the name of the book was soon “My Visits to the Galactic Council of Heaven.” The saints were happy to meet Matthew and only too aware that the conversations were being recorded to form a book, so they spoke to both Matthew and the intended readers, which will hopefully include you.
Heaven and the saints have change on their mind. Heaven wants to talk about what it is like to be a disciple and how to live a productive and successful Christian life on earth. This series of books, of which this is the first, will be a course in heavenly discipleship through the personalities and the wisdom of heaven’s saints, who have been watching all of us on earth.
Come and see the personalities of heaven, come and listen to their instruction and their counsel, and if you are really eager and courageous, come and visit the council for yourself and ask your own questions. Let this book take you to heaven and be a stepping stone in your own personal encounters with the saints and Jesus in heaven.

My Visits to the Galactic Council of Heaven Book 1 edition by Matthew Robert Payne Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
This book has inspired me to grow closer to Jesus and to follow his commands. I want to practice walking in an open Heaven. Thank you Matthew, I can hardly wait to see all the incredible promises God and the saints have spoken over your life. It's an honor to read your books!
Eye-opening account of how easy it is for us to visit heaven on a daily basis. Everyone is suppose to "rest" in heaven each day as we go about our lives. I did it and now I am able to go to heaven each day and be refreshed.
Also, the teachings are how we are suppose to live are simple and impactful. Try living your life following Jesus' lead for a week and you will never go back! )
You are right in saying that it is a hard thing for many to hear. I think it was 15 years ago when I received a book called "Conversations with God" from a friend. She knew I was a dire hard Christian. The problem was, for me, the way the language was laid out. It seemed too casual to be a real conversation with God, and after one or two pages I closed the book and never looked at it again. I suppose I was not ready at that time. Today, I wish I had been more humble, more teachable, and definitely more open back then. Today I consider this book (which is actually the first of Robert Payne`s books that I have read) to be a real blessing and it has caused me to want to read more! May we all grow up in the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Tonette Arnold.
I truly truly enjoyed reading this book. I also enjoyed Bob.
I am looking forward to meeting Bob when Our Father In Heaven God calls me home to Heaven. I enjoyed the conversation with the Apostles and Jesus. I learned something I will for now on say Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew Robert Payne well done. I can also say you helped Our Father God and Lord Jesus Christ with this not lost child anymore. I can see and hear now. I still have more to learn I'm on the road of freedom from my flesh. I'm happier than I have ever been. Because I am a bride of Our Lord Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior. Bless you Matthew Robert Payne. God and Jesus have chosen a great teacher.
The author is clearly and plainly wrong a number of times of which I’ll give a few examples as well as some of my thoughts regarding the book itself below.
The use of personal pronouns and others when referring to Jesus Christ and/or God are not capitalized as they should be. Why?
“You will need to keep an open mind.”
This is not something the Bible supports. In fact just the opposite is encouraged. In Acts 1711 and 1 John 41 we’re instructed to scrutinize everything we hear and are taught and, in this case, read.
“Those men in white linen were not angels.”
They most certainly were. The narrative doesn’t allow for any other interpretation or assumption. Besides, every commentary that I’ve read refers to “those men in white linen” as angels. In Mark 165-7 in particular how could a mere man know what he knew if he were not an angel?
“Many people might question the veracity of a man meeting a saint from heaven and dialoguing with him on earth and then being taken to heaven and interacting with saints up there.”
As well we should! The examples from the Bible that the author gives to support what he wrote, needless to say, happened under extraordinary, and may I say miraculous, circumstances. It should be noted that these incidences occurred only once while the author’s experiences are supposedly numerous and ongoing. Quite the difference.
“Each book of yours is commissioned by God…” “You are the pen, and the Lord is your source.”
Are we to understand here that God Himself is commissioning the author’s writings that they are to be placed on the same level as the Scriptures?
“Jesus is smart and so is the Holy Spirit.”
If this isn’t an understatement then I don’t know what is. Seeing as how both are members of the Trinity and therefore God I would most certainly believe that they are “smart”. Since they are God I fail to see how a limiting description such as being “smart” could and should be used to describe them.
The author is supposedly in a discussion with Moses in which he tells the author “You have a good radar for pride. You abhor it just like God does.” Yet earlier in the book one of the departed saints supposedly tells the author that God “told me to come and see you today and tell you that he [sic] is very proud of you.” For someone who abhors pride God most certainly has no problems about feeling proud about someone. Or does God find pride abhorrent only when He sees it in others and not Himself? Quite the contradiction here.
The author would have us believe that the saints in heaven have TV’s and that there are coffee shops. The saints were also able to gather in an arena, eat fried chicken and listen to a now deceased famous singer sing the American (!) National Anthem before they watched the first debate between presidential candidates. Interesting that.
The emphasis of this book is that the Christian should be searching for new experiences and/or new revelations to guide his or her life instead of the one place where Christians have looked for guidance for centuries. And that one place is the Bible. While a few Bible verses are given and commented upon in this book they are done so only in support of the author’s so-called experiences. The Bible itself doesn’t occupy any place in the book. In that vein I would like to note that Jesus Christ is not prominently featured in his book while the author occupies a very prominent place. Of the nature of those few encounters that the author supposedly has with Jesus one cannot help receiving the impression that Jesus is all but saying of the author “He must increase, but I must decrease.” See John 330.
The problem is that there are those who will choose to believe him and what he wrote without question. Unfortunately that number does seem to be growing.
This book felt very "off" to me. Having listened to hours and hours of Bob speak, and knowing his very cut-throat, straight-to-the-point, but loving style of conversation, I feel like the author is talking about someone completely different from Bob Jones.
As for the members of the cloud of witnesses, those don't correlate with other verifiable accounts that I have heard of and read about either.
If you are a true pursuer of Jesus and His Word, then please know that with this book, you are participating in what is history in the making. This is an "on earth as it is in Heaven" message--Matthew 610. You need not be just an outside observer looking in; but you can choose to be participant in everything our Heavenly Father has in store for (y)our world that is to come. Notice in the book that there is a special emphasis on how we will need to handle what will be, 20 years from now. Let this book be your launching pad toward discovering what your own blueprint is for your personal destiny with Jesus. Ask, seek, and knock--LOUDLY!
